Solar Projects at DIA

Solar Project at DIA, are four (4) separate installations of Solar PV Projects, 10.4MWDC total.

1st Phase Project Overview

  • Engineering, Procurement, and Construction
  • 1.9-MWDC solar plant with APS single-axis tracking system
  • Sharp 216W crystalline modules
  • Xantrex inverters
  • Completed in five months: April 2008 – August 2008
  • Project Owner – MMA Renewable Ventures
  • Utility Offtaker – Xcel, Public Service of Colorado
  • Quanta Team: Intermountain Electric, Inc.

2nd Phase Project Overview

  • Engineering, Procurement, and Construction
  • 1.6 MWDC Fixed ground-mount Solar Plant
  • Sharp 216W crystalline modules
  • Satcon 500 kW inverters
  • Completed in five weeks:  November 2008 – December 2008
  • Project Owner – OakLeaf Energy Partners/MP2
  • Utility Offtaker – Xcel, Public Service of Colorado
  • Quanta Team: Intermountain Electric, Inc.

3rd Phase Project Overview

  • Engineering, Procurement, and Construction
  • 4.4 MWDC Solar Plant
  • Yingli 235W PV modules
  • Satcon inverters
  • Design and installation of the 24.9 kV Substation
  • Completed in eight months: October 2010 – July 2011
  • To meet schedule, workers battled harsh blizzard conditions to finalize commissioning
  • Project Owner – Oakleaf Energy Partners
  • Utility Offtaker – Xcel, Public Service of Colorado
  • Quanta Team: Intermountain Electric, Inc.

4th Phase Project Overview

  • Engineering, Procurement, and Construction
  • 1.9 MWDC Solar Plant
  • Shuco 235W & 240W and Jinko Solar 300W polycrystalline modules
  • PowerOne 300kW inverters
  • Design and installation of the 24.9 kV Substation
  • Completed in 6 months: January 2014 to June 2014
  • Project Owner – Panasonic and Oak Leaf Energy Partners
  • Utility Offtaker – Xcel, Public Service of Colorado
  • Quanta Team: Intermountain Electric, Inc.
